Here we are, almost two years into running a coffee and eatery inside the Plant Shoppe. It has been exciting, challenging, and an honor to be accepted by the community. My team and I set out to bring a coffee and food program to Oklahoma City in a unique and refreshing way. Our focus has always been to follow our passions and present them to the customer day in and day out in an honest and caring manner. I know there are days that we knock it out of the park and then there are days that we just miss the mark. I think anyone who has ever worked in the food/beverage industry knows the challenges and struggles that we face in an effort of finding the balance for consistency. So thank you for letting us try to find our groove while still supporting us in the midst of changes.

In the beginning of Okay Yeah Co. we started out on a path of simplicity- hand tarts.  It was always a plan to grow the menu, which we did, but somewhere along the way we ran into some challenges that affected how the kitchen could operate.  So after new menu releases, we were forced to make various shifts which meant more menu changes. We understand the impact that this made and realize that expectations weren’t always met. Time and time again we have customers requesting those sweet and savory hand tarts that started it all.  I say all these things to suggest that we are going back to how we started. We are going to focus all of our energy back into the HAND TARTS and keep a few other items that have been popular along the way!

We also want to share with you what else we’ve been working on behind the scenes. We are opening a second location this summer that will be located inside an incredible venue called The Bridge in Bricktown. Our cafe will be open 7 days a week while The Bridge Church will be rocking and rolling every Sunday. When we open the new space we will be rebranding Okay Yeah Co. and changing the name to Stitch Cafe. I know all of this seems to be a lot of change/newness but honestly it has taken me a long time to really find my voice and message (for this, I apologize). And while I realize this could be confusing to our customers, I feel that I need to make this shift. There are a million reasons why I want to rebrand Okay Yeah Co., but here are just a couple of honest thoughts:

We will be shutting down our location at 705 W. Sheridan Avenue when our lease expires at the end of September.  We want the memories and branding to stay true to our current space because we will never be able to be recreate it. However, please don’t fret because we have another location just down the street where Plant Shoppe and Stitch will remain a tandem exploring all the boundaries of how plants and food exist together.

I truly feel that we never got our intended message across with Okay Yeah Co. and that with Stitch Cafe we can make a more consistent and cohesive message for the remaining of our existence here on earth. I feel like with all the changes going on that now is the best time to bite the bullet and make the name change.

We can’t wait to create new memories and to grow old with this city. These new adventures leave us connected to the city for a long and foreseeable future. It is exciting. We are committed to taking these new steps because we believe that we can offer up so many new and exciting experiences. Once again, thanks for the support and grace. We can’t wait to share all the details about the future of Stitch (+ Plant Shoppe).

Recap: Starting Tuesday, May 22nd, you will see both sweet and savory tarts back on the Okay Yeah Co. menu for breakfast and lunch.  Our kitchen will continue to close at 3pm, however, we will have our sweet tarts available at the counter from 3pm-6pm. We will keep our Smoothie bowl, Standard, The Sandwich, and Avocado Toast on the menu in addition to all of the Hand Tarts.  This menu will carry on to the new Bricktown location.
